Stephanus Bogisich (István)

Stephanus was born in 1777 in Buda and his baptism took place on December 23rd, 1777.¹   His godfather was Georgius Bosnjak and his godmother was Rosalia.  Stephanus' father was Gregorius Bogisich and his mother was Martha Bokonich.  His paternal grandparents were Matthias Simon Bogisich and Catharina Antolovich. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Michael, Georgius, Matthias, Josephus, Matthias, Eva, Anna, Christina and Roza.  He was the third oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Matheus, Elisabetha and Rozalia.  He died at the age of 48 on April 3rd, 1825 in Buda.  The funeral took place in 1825 and was arranged by Fr Theodorus Krály.^1 1
