Matthias Bogisich

Matthias was born in 1793 in Buda and his baptism took place there on August 4th, 1793 conducted by Fr Cecilianus.¹   His godmother was Rosalia Antonovich.  Matthias' father was Gregorius Bogisich and his mother was Martha Bokonich.  His paternal grandparents were Matthias Simon Bogisich and Catharina Antolovich. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Stephanus, Michael, Georgius, Matthias, Josephus, Eva, Anna, Christina and Roza.  He was the youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Matheus, Elisabetha and Rozalia.
