Matthias Bogisich (Mátyás)

Matthias was born in 1789 in Buda and his baptism took place on February 8th, 1789 conducted by Fr Placidus.¹   His godmother was Rosalia Kovacs.  Matthias' father was Gregorius Bogisich and his mother was Martha Bokonich.  His paternal grandparents were Matthias Simon Bogisich and Catharina Antolovich. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Stephanus, Michael, Georgius, Josephus, Matthias, Eva, Anna, Christina and Roza.  He was the third youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Matheus, Elisabetha and Rozalia.  He died at the age of 1 on July 28th, 1790 in Buda.  The funeral took place in 1790 and was arranged by Fr Leonardus.^1 1
