Josephus Bogisich (József)

Josephus was born in 1791 in Buda and his baptism took place on March 8th, 1791 conducted by Fr Leonardus.¹   His godmother was Roza Antonovich.  Josephus' father was Gregorius Bogisich and his mother was Martha Bokonich.  His paternal grandparents were Matthias Simon Bogisich and Catharina Antolovich. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Stephanus, Michael, Georgius, Matthias, Matthias, Eva, Anna, Christina and Roza.  He was the second youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Matheus, Elisabetha and Rozalia.  He died due to a medical problem, Apoplexy, at the age of 74 on April 7th, 1865 in Buda.  The funeral took place on April 9th, 1865 and was arranged by Fr Augustinus Bankhardt.^1 1
