Alexander Lindsay 
Alexander was born about 1387 in Glenesk, Angusshire, Scotland. Alexander's father was David Lindsay and his mother was Jean Stuart. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Lindsay and Catherine Stirling; his maternal grandparents were Robert II Stuart and Euphemia of Ross. He had three brothers and two sisters, named David, Gerard, Ingelram, Elizabeth and Marjory. He was the second oldest of the six children.
