Helen Verch was born about 1215 in Gynedd, Wales.  Helen Verch's father was Llewelyn ap Iorwerth and her mother was Joan of England.  Her paternal grandparents were Iorwerth Drwyndwn and Margred verch Madog; her maternal grandparents were John "Soft Sword" and Clemence. She had a brother and three sisters, named Dafydd ap, Angharad verch, Gwenllan verch and Margaret verch. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Gruffydd ap and Gladys Dhu verch Llywelyn ap.  She died in 1294 in Colne Quincy, Essex, England.
