Matilda (Edith) of was born about 1082 in Scotland.  Matilda (Edith) of's father was Malcolm III Canmore and her mother was Margaret the Saxon.  Her paternal grandparents were Duncan I "The Gracious" MacCrinan and Sibyl FitzSiward; her maternal grandparents were Edward "The Outlaw" Atheling of England and Agatha of Friesland. She had four brothers and a sister, named Heth, David I "The Saint" of, Alexander I of, Edgar of and Mary. She had a half-brother named Duncan II of.  She died on May 1st, 1118 in Winchester, Hampshire, England.
