Henry II "FitzEmpress" was born on March 25th, 1133 in Le Mans, Sarthe, France.  Henry II "FitzEmpress"'s father was Geoffrey V "le Bon" Plantagenet and his mother was Maud.  His paternal grandparents were Fulk of Jerusalem and Ermengarde or Ermentrude du Maine; his maternal grandparents were Henry I 'Beauclerc' of England and Matilda (Edith) of Scotland. He had two brothers named William and Count of. He had a half-brother named Hameline.  He died at the age of 56 in 1189 in Chinon Castle, Indre-et-Loire, Anjou, France.  He was buried in Abbey-et-Fontevrault, Maine-et-Loire, France.
