Margaret the was born in 1045 in Hungary.  Margaret the's father was Edward "The Outlaw" Atheling of England and her mother was Agatha of Friesland.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund II "Ironside" of England and Widow of Siferth; her maternal grandparents were Istvan and Gisela Von Bayern. She had a brother and a sister, named Edgar Atheling of and Christina.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died at the age of 48 on November 16th, 1093 in Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh, Mid-Lothian, Scotland.  She was buried in Dunfemline, Fife, Scotland.


Margaret the's family with Malcolm III Canmore

‌Margaret the and Malcolm III were married in a religious ceremony in Dunfermline Abbey, Fife, Scotland.  They had four sons and two daughters, named Heth, David I "The Saint" of, Alexander I of, Edgar of, Matilda (Edith) of and Mary.
