Mabel de was born about 1227 in of Dudley, Warwickshire, England. Mabel de's father was Roger de Somery Lord Dudley and her mother was Nichole d'Aubigny. Her paternal grandparents were Sir Ralph de Somery Lord Dudley and Margaret Marshall; her maternal grandparents were William III d'Aubigny 3rd Earl of Arundel and Sussex and Mabel De Meschines. She had a brother and two sisters, named Ralph de, Joan de and Margaret de. She was the second oldest of the four children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Roger II, John, Roger III, Ralph and Lora de. She died in 1312.General Notes
