Joan de was born in 1225 in Dudley Castle, Staffordshire, England.  Joan de's father was Roger de Somery Lord Dudley and her mother was Nichole d'Aubigny.  Her paternal grandparents were Sir Ralph de Somery Lord Dudley and Margaret Marshall; her maternal grandparents were William III d'Aubigny 3rd Earl of Arundel and Sussex and Mabel De Meschines. She had a brother and two sisters, named Ralph de, Mabel de and Margaret de.  She was the oldest of the four children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Roger II, John, Roger III, Ralph and Lora de.  She died at the age of 57 in 1282 in of Knockyn,Salop,England.


Joan de's first family with Sir John IV le Strange Lord of Knockyn

‌Joan de and John IV le were married in a religious ceremony before 1243.  They had a son and two daughters, named John V L'Estrange, Joan le and Hawise le.


Joan de's second family with Ebulo de Montibus

‌Joan de and Ebulo de were married in a religious ceremony about 1262 in Walton Deivile, Warwickshire, England.  They had a daughter named Maud de.
