Lady Maud was born in 1237 in Bernard Castle, Warwickshire, Eng..1   Lady Maud's father was John FitzGeoffrey Sir and her mother was Isabel Bigod.  Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey FitzPiers , Earl of Essex 4th and Eveline de Clare; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Earl Of Norfolk Bigod and Maude Marshall , Countess Of Norfolk. She had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Richard, Isabel, Aveline, Aveline Fitz and Joan. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Walter De, Margery De and Maud.  She died at the age of 64 on April 16th, 1301 in Grey Friars, Worcestershire, England.  She was buried on May 7th, 1301 in , Grey Friars, Worcestershire, England.1 1

‌Lady Maud and William were married in a religious ceremony before 1270 in Worcestershire, Eng..1   They had three sons and five daughters, named Robert De, John De, Guy, Margaret De, Isabel, Sarah, Amy De and Maud De.
