Isabel FitzGilbert was born in 1173 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.1   Isabel FitzGilbert's father was Richard  "Strongbow" 4th Earl De Clare and her mother was Aoife Macmurough Of Leinster , Countess Of Ire..  Her paternal grandparents were Roger "The Good" 5th Earl de Clare and Maud or Matilda de St. Hilary du Harcouet; her maternal grandparents were Dermot McMurrough King Of Leinster and More O'Toole. She had a sister named Joan.  She was the older of the two children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Richard, Gilbert, Joane and Matilda Maude.  She died at the age of 47 in 1220 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  She was buried in Tintern Abbey, Monmouthshire, Eng..1

‌Isabel FitzGilbert and William were married in a religious ceremony in August 1189 in London, Middlesex, England.1   They had four sons and seven daughters, named William, Gilbert, Richard, Anselm, Margaret, Maude, Joan, Eve, Lady [Sister of Surety], Isabel, Sibyl and Isabella.
