Her paternal grandparents were Toustien Vct de Avranches Le Goz and Judith Montanolier; her maternal grandparents were Herluin de Conteville Viscount Conteville and Harlette De Falaise Countess of Mortaigne. She had a brother and four sisters, named Hugh d'Aurange, Judith Juliana, Emma or Albreda, Elisende Jeanare Hersendis and Isabelle. She was the second youngest of the six children.
