Nathan was born on May 14th, 1815 in Greenwich, Wshngt, NY.  Nathan's father was John tanner and his mother was Lydia STEWART.  His paternal grandparents were Joshua tanner and Thankful TEFFT; his maternal grandfather was William STEWART and his maternal grandmother is Amy Hutton. He had nine brothers and three sisters, named William STEWART, Willard, Sidney, John Joshua, Edward, Edwin, Pardon, Martin Henry, Albert Miles, Matilda, Romelia and Maria Louisa.  He was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 95 on December 17th, 1910 in GRANGER, SL, UT.  He was buried in GRANGER, Salt Lake, Utah.
