John TEFFT Sr. 
John was born in 1676 in Of Kingstown, Washington, RI. John's father was Samuel TEFFT and his mother was Elizabeth JENCKES. His paternal grandparents were John TEFFT and Mary BARBER; his maternal grandparents were Joseph JENCKS [II] and Esther BALLARD. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, Solomon, Peter, Samuel, Esther, Mary, Sarah, Susannah, Elizabeth, Tabitha and Mercy. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 86 on January 21st, 1762 in South Kingstown, Washington, RI. He was buried in S. Kingstown, , RI.-
