Peter was born on February 19th, 1678 in So. Kingston, Wa., RI. Peter's father was Samuel TEFFT and his mother was Elizabeth JENCKES. His paternal grandparents were John TEFFT and Mary BARBER; his maternal grandparents were Joseph JENCKS [II] and Esther BALLARD. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, John, Solomon, Samuel, Esther, Mary, Sarah, Susannah, Elizabeth, Tabitha and Mercy. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 47 in 1725 in Scituate, Providence, Rhode Island.General Notes
