His paternal grandparents were Francis tanner and Elizabeth SHELDON; his maternal grandparents were William TEFFT and Mary KENYON. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Pardon, Francis, Joshua, William TEFFT, Mary OR Polly, Thankful TEFFT, Susannah, Betsey and Esther. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 71 on April 13th, 1850 in South Cottonwood, S.L., UT. He was buried on April 14th, 1850 in , , Utah.-
