Alexander Stephens 
Alexander was born in October 1773 in Salisbury, Rowan, NC. Alexander's father was Richard Stephens and his mother was Martha ROBERTS. His paternal grandfather was John Stephens and his paternal grandmother is Mrs. John Stephens; his maternal grandfather was William ROBERTS and his maternal grandmother is Eleanor. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named William, John, James, Richard, Son), Mr., N.C. LD, Unknown, Stephens, Martha, Elizabeth, Jane and Son). He was the third oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 50 on February 7th, 1824 in NC. He was buried on February 7th, 1824.-
