John Stephens 
John was born in 1777 in Salisbury, Rowan, NC. John's father was Richard Stephens and his mother was Martha ROBERTS. His paternal grandfather was John Stephens and his paternal grandmother is Mrs. John Stephens; his maternal grandfather was William ROBERTS and his maternal grandmother is Eleanor. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named William, Alexander, James, Richard, Son), Mr., N.C. LD, Unknown, Stephens, Martha, Elizabeth, Jane and Son). He was the fourth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 47 in February 1824 in , , Chatham.-
