Indiana was born on October 31st, 1822 in Rowan, NC. Indiana's father was Alexander Stephens and her mother is Mary DAILEY. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Stephens and Martha ROBERTS; her maternal grandparents were William DAILEY and Mary PALMER. She had six brothers and four sisters, named William, John, Alexander, David, Daniel, Simeon, Hannah, Martha, Elizabeth and Mary. She is the youngest of the eleven children.-
