William Stephens 
William was born on November 11th, 1801 in Rowan, NC. William's father was Alexander Stephens and his mother is Mary DAILEY. His paternal grandparents were Richard Stephens and Martha ROBERTS; his maternal grandparents were William DAILEY and Mary PALMER. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Alexander, David, Daniel, Simeon, Hannah, Martha, Elizabeth, Mary and Indiana. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 59 on September 16th, 1861 in NOV, Schuyler, Illinois.-
