Edward Bruce of was born after 1274.  Edward Bruce of's father was Robert VII de Bruce and his mother was Marjorie of Carrick.  His paternal grandparents were Robert VI the Competitor de Bruce and Isabel de Clare; his maternal grandfather was Neil of Carrick and his maternal grandmother is Margaret Stewart. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Nigel, Thomas, Alexander, Robert I Bruce of, Mary, Christina, Isabel, Maud and Margaret.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He had a half-sister named Isabel.  He died on October 14th, 1318 in Battle of Dundall, Faughart near Dundalk, Ireland.
