Adelaide (Ada) was born in 1120. Adelaide (Ada)'s father was William II de Warenne and her mother was Isabella Capet de Crepi of Vermandois. Her paternal grandparents were William I de Warenne and Gundrada de St. Omer; her maternal grandparents were Hugh I Magnus the Great de Crepi of France and Adelar de Vermandois. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Rainald, Ralph, William III, Gundrada and Ella. She had three half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Hugh the Poor, Waleran, Robert II Bossu, Adeline de Beaumont of, Aubreye, Agnes, Amicade, Maude, Eleanor and Isabel (Elizabeth).
