Hugh Capet of was born in 0939 in France.  Hugh Capet of's father was Hugh the Great Neustria Capet of France and his mother was Edhilda of England.  His paternal grandparents were Robert I of the West Franks and Beatrice de Vermandois; his maternal grandparents were Edward the Elder of England and Aelfaeda of Wiltshire. He had a sister named Beatrice.  He was the younger of the two children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Odo (Otto) of, Otto-Henry the Great of, Herbert of and Emma of.  He died in Les Juifs, near Chartres, Paris, France.  He was buried in St. Denis, France.


Hugh Capet of's family with Adelaide (Adela) of Poitou

‌Hugh Capet of and Adelaide (Adela) of were married in a religious ceremony about 0969.  They had a son and three daughters, named Robert II Capet the Pious of, Gisela, Hedwig (Edith) and Adele Capet.
