Waleran was born in 1104 in Meulan, Ile de France, France.  Waleran's father was Robert I de Meulan de Beaumont and his mother was Isabella Capet de Crepi of Vermandois.  His paternal grandparents were Roger de Beaumont and Adeline de Meulan; his maternal grandparents were Hugh I Magnus the Great de Crepi of France and Adelar de Vermandois. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Hugh the Poor, Robert II Bossu, Adeline de Beaumont of, Aubreye, Agnes, Amicade, Maude, Eleanor and Isabel (Elizabeth). He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Rainald, Ralph, William III, Gundrada, Ella and Adelaide (Ada).  He died at the age of 62 on April 10th, 1166 in Abbey, Preaux, Normandy, France.

‌Waleran and Matilda of were married in a religious ceremony in 1136.


Waleran's second family with Agnes d'Evreux de Montfort

They had a son and a daughter, named Robert de Meulan and Isabel de Meulan.
