Maud was born after 1275.  Maud's father was Robert VII de Bruce and her mother was Marjorie of Carrick.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert VI the Competitor de Bruce and Isabel de Clare; her maternal grandfather was Neil of Carrick and her maternal grandmother is Margaret Stewart. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Nigel, Thomas, Edward Bruce of, Alexander, Robert I Bruce of, Mary, Christina, Isabel and Margaret.  She was the second youngest of the ten children. She had a half-sister named Isabel.  She died about 1326.  She was buried in Fearn, Scotland.


Maud's family with Hugh de Ross

‌Maud and Hugh were married in a religious ceremony about 1308.  They had a son and a daughter, named William and Marjory.
