Adeline was born about 1120 in Huntington, Huntingdon, England.  Adeline's father was William de Warenne and her mother was Elizabeth (Isabel) Capet.  Her paternal grandparents were William de Warenne and Princess of England Gundreda; her maternal grandparents were Hugues III 'Magnus' Capet and Adelaide De Vermandois. She had two brothers and a sister, named William, Reginald and Gundred.  She was the second oldest of the four children. She had three half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Robert, Waleran, Hugh, Elizabeth (Isabel), Aubreye, Eleanor, Adeline Newburgh, Havoise, Amicade and Maud Matilda Alberade.  She died in 1178 in Warwickshire, England.

They had three sons and four daughters, named William I "The, David, IV, Princess of Scotland, Princess of Scotland, Margaret and Marjory Canmore.
