Ingigerd (Anna) was born in 1001 in Uppsala, Norway.  Ingigerd (Anna)'s father was Olaf III "Skötkonung" Eriksson and her mother was Princess Astrid of the Obotrites.  Her paternal grandparents were Eric VI ' Victorious' Bjornsson and Swietoslava Sygryda 'The Haughty'; her maternal grandparents were Prince of Obotrites Mieceslas and Sophia. She had a brother named Anund Jacob.  She was the older of the two children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Emund II "The Old" and Astrid.  She died in Kiev, Ukraine.
