Emund II "The Old" was born in 1005 in Uppsala, Sweden. Emund II "The Old"'s father was Olaf III "Skötkonung" Eriksson and his mother was Edla von Mecklenburg. His paternal grandparents were Eric VI ' Victorious' Bjornsson and Swietoslava Sygryda 'The Haughty'. He had a sister named Astrid. He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Anund Jacob and Ingigerd (Anna). He died at the age of 49 in 1054.-
