Matilda of was born in 1031 in Flanders, France.  Matilda of's father was Baldwin V 'the Pious' and her mother was Adela (Alix) Capet.  Her paternal grandparents were IV Baldwin and Otgina (Ogive) of Luxembourg; her maternal grandparents were Robert II 'the Pious' Capet and Constance de Toulouse. She had three brothers named Baldwin VI "the, Robrecht and Count of Flanders.  She was the second oldest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert II "the Burgundian", I, Alix and Helena.  She died at the age of 52 on November 2nd, 1083 in Caen, Normandy.


Matilda of's family with William 'The Conqueror'

‌Matilda of and William 'The were married in a religious ceremony in 1050 in Castle of Angi, Normandy, France.  They had seven sons and eight daughters, named Prince of England, Prince of England, II, Prince of England, William II, Prince of England, Henry I, Princess of England, Princess of England, Princess of England, Princess of England, Princess of England, Princess of England, Princess of England and Maud.
