Robert 'Rollo' was born in 0866 in Maer, Nord-Trondelag, Norway. Robert 'Rollo''s father was Ragnvald I 'the Wise' Eysteinsson and his mother was Ragnhild 'Hildr' Hrolfsdottir. His paternal grandparents were Eystein 'the Noisy' Glumra Iversson and Ascrida Ragnvaldsdottir; his maternal grandfather was Hrolf Nefia. He had four brothers named Eynar "Turf", Hrollaug, Torf Ragnvaldsson of and Thori 'The Silent'. He had a half-brother named Hrollagar. He died at the age of 65 in 0931. He was buried in Cathedral at Rouen.-
