Henry I was born in 1068 in Selby, Yorkshire, England.  Henry I's father was King William The Conqueror and his mother was Matilda de Flanders.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Robert III (The Devil) Normandy and Herleva de Falaise; his maternal grandparents were Count Baldwin V Count of Flanders and Princess Adela Capet Princess of France. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Henry I, Henry I, Henry I "Beauclerc", Gundred Princess of, Gundred, Gundred, Adela Princess of, Anna, Adele Beauclerc and Maud Margaret Princess of.  He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Henry I, the Elder and Gundred Princess Of.  He died at the age of 67 on December 1st, 1135 in St. denis, Seine-St. Denis, France.  He was buried in Reading Abbey (which he founded).
