Gundred was born about 1063 in Normandy,France.  Gundred's father was King William The Conqueror and her mother was Matilda de Flanders.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke Robert III (The Devil) Normandy and Herleva de Falaise; her maternal grandparents were Count Baldwin V Count of Flanders and Princess Adela Capet Princess of France. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Henry I, Henry I, Henry I, Henry I "Beauclerc", Gundred Princess of, Gundred, Adela Princess of, Anna, Adele Beauclerc and Maud Margaret Princess of.  She was the third oldest of the eleven children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Henry I, the Elder and Gundred Princess Of.  She died on May 27th, 1085 in Castle Acre,Acre,Norfolk,England.

‌Gundred and William were married in a religious ceremony before 1077 in Normandie,France.  They had a son and a daughter, named William III and Edith.
