Matilda was born in 1031 in Flandres.  Matilda's father was Count Baldwin V Count of Flanders and her mother was Princess Adela Capet Princess of France.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Baldwin IV and Otgive De Luxembourg; her maternal grandparents were King Robert II Capet and Constance Arles Toulose. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Baldwin VI Count of Flanders &, Baldwin VI, Robert I Count of Flanders &, Henry Count of, Matilda of, Matilda of and Judith Countess of.  She was the third oldest of the eight children. She had seven half-sisters named Avicia of, Elena of, Elena of, Judith Of, Judith Of, Judith Of and Helene.  She died at the age of 52 on November 2nd, 1083 in Caen,Normandie.  She was buried in Church of the,Holy Trinity,Caen,France.


Matilda's family with King William The Conqueror

‌Matilda and William were married in a religious ceremony in 1049 in Castle of Angi, Normandy, France.  They had four sons and seven daughters, named Henry I, Henry I, Henry I, Henry I "Beauclerc", Gundred Princess of, Gundred, Gundred, Adela Princess of, Anna, Adele Beauclerc and Maud Margaret Princess of.
