Matilda Aethelic was born in 1101 in London, Middlesex, England.1   Matilda Aethelic's father was King Henry I England and her mother was Princess Matilda Scotland.  Her paternal grandparents were King William The Conqueror and Matilda de Flanders; her maternal grandparents were King Malcolm III Scotland and Queen Margaret Atheling Scotland. She had a sister named Elizabeth Princess of. She had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert, Henry, Reginald Dunstanville, Robert (FitzRoy), William, Constance and Matilda.  She died at the age of 68 on September 10th, 1169 in Notre Dame, Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France.2
