Isabel was born in 1773 in Killingholme, Lincoln, England and her christening took place there on May 16th, 1773.  Isabel's father was William Rack and her mother was Eleanor Lamin.  Her paternal grandparents were William Rack and Anne Sommerscales. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Mathew, William, Joseph, Ann, Mary, Eleanor, Mary, Elizabeth and Eleanor.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.
