William was born in 1739 in Stallingborough, Lincoln, England and his christening took place there on February 3rd, 1739.  William's father was William Rack and his mother was Anne Sommerscales. He had three brothers named John, Mathew and Thomas.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 79 in 1818 in North Kelsey, Lincoln, England.  He was buried on November 28th, 1818 in North Kelsey, Lincoln, England.
