Bessie Varcoe

Bessie was born in 1846 and her baptism took place on March 20th, 1850 in St Newlyna.  Bessie's father was William Varcoe and her mother was Elizabeth Nancarrow.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Varcoe and Elizabeth Searle. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Alfred, William, Robert, Ellen, Emma, Mary, Christiana and Matilda.  She was the third oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 19 in 1865.  She was buried on June 6th, 1865 in St Albans, Christchurch.
