Sylvia Candace Hoodless was born 12 Sep 1931 at 10 Collingwood Ave Prince Rock Plymouth Devon.First school was Prince Rock Infants/Junior. Was in the \Prince Rock area for the first part of the second world war during the blitz of Plymouth. For a short time was evacuated to Torquay, staying with friends of the family. Later they lived at Plympton near Plymouth and attended Plympton Grammar School. Later transferred to Devonport High School, when the family moved back to Plymouth. In November 1946 started work at Crownhill Post Office Plymouth as Counter Clerk. Married Alfred Peter Blott 22 March 1952 at Emmanual Church Plymouth. Had three children...Alan Peter Blott born 1955, Wendy Candace Blott born 1957 and Garry Paul Blott born 1963.
Family joined the Latter Day Saint Church in OCt 1961. Sealed Sep 1962. Grandchildren= Daniel Blott, Gemma Blott and Amie Blott who are the children of Alan Peter Blott and Julie Bradley. Emma Richardson, Matthew Richardson and Naomi Richardson who are the children of Wendy Candace Blott and Steven Richardson. Richard Blott, Rosanna Blott and Alexanna Blott who are the children of Garry Paul Blott and Suzanne Ashpole. Great grandchildren= Ryan Max Blott born 17 Oct 2003 at Cheltenham Engl(son of Amie Blott) Tristan Beck born 24 Mar 2004 at Omaha USA (son of Emma (nee Richardson) and Matthew Beck Interests.= Painting, Writing (poetry etc), Singing and stage entertaining, Crafts, Family History.(Was one of the founder members of the Devon Family History Society in Nov 1976). Retired from the DFHS committee in 2002 and was made the first honorary member of the society.
