Mary BANDS 
Mary's baptism took place on August 8th, 1802 in Gwennap, Cornwall, England.1 Mary's father is Thomas BANDS and her mother is Ann HITCHINS. Her paternal grandparents are John BANDS and Elizabeth. She had two brothers named Thomas and William. She died on November 3rd, 1887 in St Blazey, Cornwall, England. She was buried on November 5th, 1887 in St Blazey, Cornwall, England.1 1 General Notes

Mary Bands was baptised 8 Aug 1802 at Gwennap, Cornwall and was the daughter of Thomas Bands and Ann Hitchens. Nothing is known about her early life. She married Thomas Hendra 10 Jan 1824 at St Blazey, Cornwall and was the Mother of five children, Christopher (1824), Thomas (1825), Anne (1828), Elizabeth (1834) and John (1843). Her life was seemingly not easy as she was left a widow in 1850 (Her husband was a miner and the majority of miners died in their forties and fifties). From the St Blazey Rate Book for 1854 (seen in Truro Record Office) it shows that she was in arrears with her rates. It is also known that her daughters has illigitimate children that she helped to raise. Nevertheless, she must have been a pretty tough lady as she lived to the age of eighty five. A family Bible shows that she died 3 Nov 1887. She was buried at St Blazey.
Mary and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on January 10th, 1824 in Stblazey, Cornwall, England.1 They had three sons and two daughters, named John, Thomas, Christopher, Anne and Elizabeth.
