Johannes Hattingh

Johannes was born in 1714 and his baptism took place on May 27th, 1714 in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa.  Johannes' father was Hans Hendrich Hattingh and his mother was Maria De Lanoy.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Nicolas De Lanoy and Marguerite De Frans. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jacobus, Jacob, Margaretha, Marij and Catrina.  He was the youngest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named Johannes, Johannes, Johannes, Johannes, Margriet, Susanna, Catharina and Christiaan.  He died at the age of 62 on April 8th, 1776.
