Jacobus Hattingh

Jacobus was born in 1699 in Drakenstein, Western Cape, South Africa and his baptism took place there on May 3rd, 1699.  Jacobus' father was Hans Hendrich Hattingh and his mother was Maria De Lanoy.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Nicolas De Lanoy and Marguerite De Frans. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jacob, Johannes, Margaretha, Marij and Catrina.  He was the oldest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named Johannes, Johannes, Johannes, Johannes, Margriet, Susanna, Catharina and Christiaan.  He died at the age of 96 in 1795 in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
