Jacob Hattingh

Jacob was born in 1702 in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa and his baptism took place there in 1702.  Jacob's father was Hans Hendrich Hattingh and his mother was Maria De Lanoy.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Nicolas De Lanoy and Marguerite De Frans. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Jacobus, Johannes, Margaretha, Marij and Catrina.  He was the third oldest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named Johannes, Johannes, Johannes, Johannes, Margriet, Susanna, Catharina and Christiaan.
