Thomas Read

Thomas was born in 1853 in Fovant, Wiltshire and his christening took place there on May 1st, 1853.¹ Thomas' father was John Read and his mother was Sarah Jane Turner. His maternal grandparents were William Turner and Elizabeth Cannings. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Alfred, William, Frank, Charles, Alice, Amy and Mary . He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 67 on August 2nd, 1920 in Chatham, Kent.¹
