Edward was born in June 1893 in Sholing, Hampshire.1   Edward's father was Charles Haymer and his mother was Sarah Callun.  His paternal grandparents were James Haymer and Lucy. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Charles, William, Arthur, Frederick, Florence, Alice, Bessie, Nellie and Edith.  He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He had five half-sisters named Alice, Mary, Agnes, Kate and Phoebe.  He died at 6 months old in December 1893 in Sholing, Hampshire.2
