Robert's father was John Turner and his mother was Elisabeth Manuel.  His paternal grandparents were John Turner and Janet Marshall. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Peter, Richard, William, Janet and Mary.  He was the youngest of the eight children. He had a half-sister named Mary.  He died at the age of 90 on October 10th, 1951 in Vancouver.  The funeral took place on October 13th, 1951 in Vancouver.  He was buried on October 13th, 1951 in Vancouver.^3 4 5
