Hugh Keggans

Hugh was born in 1883 in Old Cumnock.¹²

Hugh's father was Henry Keegens and his mother was Elizabeth McSephany. His paternal grandparents were Hugh Keggans and Agnes Robertson. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Henry, George, Richard, Thomas, Richard, Agnes and Mary. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 62 on January 26th, 1945 in Sanquhar. The funeral took place on January 29th, 1945. He was buried on January 29th, 1945 in Sanquhar.³³
