Robert Bowman

Robert was born in 1851 in Kilmarnock.¹   Robert's father was Dalrymple Bowman and his mother was Jane Taylor.  His maternal grandparents were Andrew Taylor and Ann Scoffield. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named William, Andrew, George, Helen, David, Hugh, Dalrymple, Joseph, Janet, Annie and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.  He died in an accident or as a result of an injury, Pit Accident, attended with scr(?), informal injuries, 4 hours, at the age of 26 on February 21st, 1877 in Galston.
