George Bowman

George was born in 1855 in Kilmarnock.¹ George's father was Dalrymple Bowman and his mother was Jane Taylor. His maternal grandparents were Andrew Taylor and Ann Scoffield. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named William, Andrew, Robert, Helen, David, Hugh, Dalrymple, Joseph, Janet, Annie and Elizabeth. He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 55 in 1910 in Newmilns.
